Scheduled to premiere in January 2024, the second season of "Tsukimichi" will consist of two consecutive cours, promising an extended adventure for viewers to enjoy.
Fans will be delighted to know that the main cast from the first season will reprise their roles in this new installment. This includes talented voice actors Natsuki Hanae, Ayane Sakura, Akari Kitou, and Kenjirou Tsuda, who will bring life to their beloved characters once again.
Shinji Ishihara, known for his work on "Tensei shitara Ken deshita," will be returning as the director for the second season, taking over from animation studio C2C. Other key members of the staff making a comeback include scriptwriter Kenta Ihara, character designer Yukie Suzuki, and music composer Yasuharu Takanashi.
"Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu," based on Kei Azumi's adventure fantasy novel, originally gained popularity on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website from February 2012 to August 2016 before transitioning to AlphaPolis in July 2016. The novel, accompanied by captivating illustrations from Mitsuaki Matsumoto, has since been published by AlphaPolis, with the 18th volume released on August 5 last year. Notably, the series has sold an impressive three million copies across its various volumes.
In addition to the novel, Kotora Kino began illustrating a manga adaptation of "Tsukimichi" in AlphaPolis Web Manga magazine in June 2015. The manga series has reached its 11th volume, with the latest volume hitting shelves in October.
