One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 6 Review

What is even the point anymore? We’re halfway through the season, and despite all the hype being shoved at viewers, almost nothing of value has actually happened. Episode six drifts along with endless chatter from characters who keep talking about battles instead of actually engaging in them. Add the stiff animation, bland visuals, and lazy framing, and the entire episode feels like a chore to sit through.

One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 6 Review

The only actual plot progression is the heroes moving from their base to City Z for the future clash with the Monster Association. That single shift could be summed up in one line, yet the episode stretches it into long, repetitive conversations. Out of curiosity, I rewatched the first episode of season one before starting this, and the difference is brutal. Everything that once made this series electric has vanished.

The previous episode at least attempted to be visually interesting, but this one doesn’t even bother. J.C. Staff has completely abandoned any effort to make the show look polished. The characters have lost all the sharp detail and charm that once defined them. They now look flat, dull, and painfully generic. Even the still frames lack the precision and artistry of Yusuke Murata’s manga, making the adaptation feel like a routine obligation rather than a passion project.

The only enjoyable part is Tornado, who continues to dish out insults while everyone treats her like the bratty kid she is. I’ll also admit that updating Superalloy Darkshine’s design to avoid racial stereotypes was a smart move. Unfortunately, those minor positives can’t hide how far this series has crashed. Instead of excitement, each episode now brings more frustration for a show I once genuinely loved.
