Sunrise's Brave Robot Franchise: New Manga and Animated Promo!

Exciting news for fans of Sunrise's Brave robot franchise! The franchise is expanding with a brand new manga titled "Brave Universe Sworgrader," set to begin serialization at the end of July. This manga will feature illustrations by Shirо̄ Tsunashima and a captivating story crafted by Ukyō Kodachi, known for their work on "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations." As a bonus treat, Sunrise will also animate a promotional video for the manga, complete with a theme song.

The original work for "Brave Universe Sworgrader" is credited to Hajime Yatate, which is a pseudonym often used by the staff at Sunrise. Yoshitomo Yonetani is responsible for the original draft and is supervising the project, with assistance from Atsuhiro Tomioka. The character design for the animated video is done by Yuka Aono, who previously worked on "Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion the Animation." Additionally, mechanical design duties are entrusted to the talented Kunio Okawara, renowned for his work on "Mobile Suit Gundam," and Toshinao Miyauchi, who contributed to "SD Gundam World Heroes." The animation's mechanical design will be handled by Hiroki Mutaguchi, known for "SSSS.Dynazenon."

The theme song for the promotional video, titled "Ashita no Yūki ni Hi wa Noboru" (The Sun Rises on Tomorrow's Bravery), will be performed by Nami Tamaki. The song's lyrics are penned by Yonetani, with composition and arrangement by Toshiyuki Watanabe.

For fans lucky enough to visit The King of Braves: GaoGaiGar 25th Anniversary Commemorative Exhibition at Seibushibuyaten Movidakan in Tokyo, they will receive a special "Volume 0" manga and have the opportunity to watch the captivating promotional video.

The Brave Saga franchise has a rich history, with the debut of "GaoGaiGar: King of the Braves" television anime in 1997. The success of the anime led to the creation of the "Brave King GaoGaiGar Final OVA" sequel, which, in turn, inspired the "Brave King GaoGaiGar Final Grand Glorious Gathering" television anime, providing an alternate ending to the OVA's story. Fans in North America were able to enjoy the series thanks to Media Blasters' release.
